James Veira Music

"Americana style rock acoustic singer, wonderful songs and gentle spirit.
He has gravel in his voice as soft as pillows.."

Who is James Veira?

"A voice like Eddie Vedder with a hint of Dave Grohl"

James is a Norfolk based singer songwriter with a powerful passionate voice.
Equally at home in small intimate venues and large festival crowds James has been active in the Norfolk music scene since 2011 playing a blend of original songs and popular covers at pubs, acoustic showcases, festivals, weddings and birthday celebrations.
Whether it's solo acoustic sets with his trade mark 12 string guitar or fronting the 4 piece rock/blues band The Late Brakers, James' songwriting, vocals and delivery never fail to please.

Banhamfest 2019 Review

“...but for me, the revelation of this part of the line-up was James Veira. James runs the open mic nights at The Barrel.
This quiet man and his twelve string Freshman guitar played a mix of his own songs, and some covers, with no faffing or fuss, just playing good music well.
Inspired by a blues band he’d seen at The Barrel he wrote “This Time You’ve Crossed The Line” – wow, was what went through my mind.
I feel a trip to The Barrel for an open mic coming on.”
Tony Bell - Grapevine magazine

"When Frank & Sammy announced they were getting married I pretty much told Frank I was playing at the wedding.
They have been so supportive of me and my music, it was my privilige to write and sing this song as Sammy came down the aisle.

If you were to watch just one video...

"This is one of the first songs I wrote when I started gigging and it remains one of my favourites. I was fortunate enough to be asked to record a few songs at Epic Studios as part of their 'RAW' series in 2012. If I had to pick a song that sums up what I do it would be this one."
